why you should not swim with a boil , and how to prevent boil and other staph infections


Boils are bacterial infection, it can spread from one person to another through physical contact, or when sthe bacteria transfer from one person to another.  These bacteria can only cause the boil when they penetrate into the skin, through a cut, wound or a scrape.

I can say,  you shouldn’t, when you have a boil,  the bacteria are already in your body, clothes, under-wears, the boils itself, the pus in  it is draining and etc. when you use the public swimming pool, this bacteria can get into the water and spread to other people .  therefore in order to prevent this boil from spreading to other people,  you shouldn’t use the swimming pool.
 Though must public swimming pool water bodies are treated with chemical that can easily kill these bacteria, but I recommend you avoid swimming to be on the safer side.
can i swim in the ocean with a boil
 the ocean water is  salty, salty water can frustrate bacterial growth,  interrupt with the chemical process that support this bacterial survival, therefore,  when you swim in ocean, the salty water can kill these bacteria and  the boil infection won’t spread to other people.
 But this is not a 100% remedies, the best way to avoid these bacteria spread, is to avoid using public water bodies for swimming.
can you swim in the ocean with a staph infection
if you have a staph infection like boils, you should avoid swimming in public water bodies like swimming pool,  beach, lakes and oceans,. Though the ocean water is salty and can kill bacteria but is not hundred percent effective. Therefore in order to be on the safer side, avoid the oceans waters when you have boil infection on your body.

it is not medically recommended to swim, in an ocean water with an open wound. when you swim in a public water like lake, ocean or swimming pools. The water may easily be contaminated, swimming with open wound exposes your body to bacteria, virus, fungi and other dangerous micro-organisms. For example
 a staph bacteria, can cause boils infection when it get into your body.

Is swimming with healing wound dangerous?
Yes, swimming with a wound in  a contaminated public water bodies, exposes your wound to more infection, delay healing and may even cause other skin infections.

a cut or scrapes is an opening in your body, if you must swim, then you will have to waterproof it. This is very important to prevent boil causing bacteria, virus and other dangerous micro-organism from getting into your body.
Can you get Boil after swimming
Yes, if you have a cut, open wound or a scrape. It is possible you can get the infection.
To be on the safer side, bath again after the swimming, wash your swimsuit also.

Swimming with boil on your body is not advisable, if you must swim, then you will have to cover your boil completely. If you suspect boil infection after swimming , then you should bath again after the swimming, you should use strong antibacterial soap and bath with clean water after the swimming.
