A boils can spread from one person to another, when the boil causing bacteria can move from the infected person to the other. This can happen through a torch, sharing of clothing materials or any other activity that spread bacteria from  one person to another. This is why it is necessary to know the different ways a boils causing bacteria can spread.

 Sharing of clothes with a boil patient can spread the boil to others, a person suffering with boil on their body can contaminate their clothes with pus coming out from the boil. Sharing same clothes with such person can lead to boils spread. Sharing of head cap, handkerchief can also lead to boils spreads. 
Can you use same bed with a boil patient?
 It is advisable to avoid sharing bed with a boil patient, especially if you share same blanket. A boil causing bacteria can get to you if you share same blanket. With them, if you must use same bed , these are what you should do
Let them cover their boils completely.
 Let them  wear clean sleeping dress each night.
Cover all opening on your skin, like injury, scratches or cut.
The blanket should be washed  each morning, should be soaked  in a hot water and rinse with disinfectant.
Is boils a sexually transmitted diseases
  boils is not an STDs,  it cannot be contacted like other sexually transmitted diseases but can be spread.
This happens due to physical contact during the sexual intercourse,  and also due to the hairy, moist and thin nature of the skin around the genital area.
 Therefore when you have boils but wanted to go intimate,  then do the following.
 Cover your boils and use strong antibacterial soap to bath after the sexual intercourse.  I will advise you avoid sexual intercourse if the boils is in the groin, buttocks or the genital organs themselves.
Can boils spread in a swimming pool?
A boil can spread in a swimming pool, especially  if it is a public swimming pools, avoid swimming in a pool with strangers if you wanted to be safe from boils.
